Our History
Reshaping the Way People Use Their Spaces Since 1951
Known as an inventor, a marketer and an entrepreneur, Kermit H. Wilson founded SICO® in August 1951.
Kermit’s idea that an industry could save space with the proper table-seating equipment led to the development of a unique mobile folding table with seating attached. This pioneer product became the standard school lunchroom table and a forerunner of a complete line of space-saving mobile furniture and equipment used throughout the world.
Hotels, Convention Centers, Stadiums and more.
From this beginning in the education market, SICO® is now well-known in a variety of industries providing space-saving, innovative solutions. Hotels, convention centers, stadiums, arenas, party rental companies, worship facilities, and a number of other industries count on SICO® to help them maximize their space.
Now in its third generation of family leadership, with Kermit’s son Hal as Executive Chairman and Hal’s son Chris as CEO, the name SICO® has become synonymous with efficient, multi-use of space where ever people work, learn or play.
